Our privacy promise
The short version: your child’s ESPO app collects nothing about them. Nothing. Here’s exactly what that means.
ESPO Learning apps for children do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from your child. There is no account to create, no profile, no name or email requested, and no usage data sent anywhere. Your child’s practice stays on the device they use.
What the child app collects
Nothing. The child-facing apps (ESPO Handwriting, and the others as they launch) run without an account and without any analytics, advertising, or third-party services. They make no network calls that carry personal information, and they do not track behavior across apps or sessions in any way tied to your child.
What a parent provides
When a parent chooses to subscribe, that transaction is handled on the web by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe processes the parent’s payment details directly under its own privacy and security terms — we never see or store full card numbers. The parent’s email may be used to manage the subscription and send account-related messages (like a receipt or a renewal notice). This is the only personal data anywhere in ESPO Learning, it belongs to the parent, and a parent’s knowing purchase is a recognized form of verifiable parental consent under COPPA.
No advertising, ever
ESPO Learning shows no ads to anyone, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers. There is no advertising SDK in any child app.
COPPA & children
ESPO Learning is designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because the child apps collect no personal information from children at all, there is nothing to consent to on the child’s behalf beyond the parent’s own decision to subscribe. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it promptly — though by design, there is no mechanism for that to happen.
Data requests
Because we hold no data about your child, there is nothing to request, export, or delete on their behalf. For a parent’s own subscription and email, you can request access or deletion at any time by emailing us.
Changes
If this promise ever changes, we’ll post the update here and keep the child-side commitment — zero child data — intact. We built the apps this way on purpose; it is not a setting that can quietly flip.
